This exclusive Trappist ale is universally agreed to be the best beer in the world.

You can’t buy it anywhere other than the monastery in Belgium, which began brewing in 1838. Westvleteren 12 was introduced by the monks in 1940 and has been brewed the same way since and has won global acclaim.

The style is a Flemish Burgundy ale… dark amber in colour with a smooth chocolate and caramel flavour, mixed with a sweet raisin and nutty aroma.
