Something creative is brewing...
At Creative Juices we take the responsibility for looking after your personal data very seriously and, whilst we appreciate these pages tend to be “the legal bit that no-one reads”, we want to lay out how your information may be used to reassure you that we only request and retain that which is critical for the running of the site. By using this site, you are consenting to the practices laid out in this privacy policy and agreeing that you’re happy for us to use cookies.
The two key things to take from this policy are:
1) If you are just browsing the site, we do not need to gather any personal information from you at all… and nor do we.
2) Where we do need to gather / hold personal information (i.e. specifically if you are buying goods, setting up an account, commenting / reviewing, contacting us, or subscribing to our newsletter), we keep it confidential and will never sell, rent or otherwise trade your information with third parties.
We are the Creative Juices Brewing Company Ltd. found at Woodoaks Farm, Denham Way, Rickmansworth, WD3 9XQ, UK.
Our registered company number is 11261950. Our VAT number is 295518074. Our AWRS number is XNAW00000111620.
Our website address is: https://creativejuicesbrewingcompany.com.
The personal information we potentially gather and hold from our account holders and other customers who have made a purchase on the site, with a view to fulfilling orders, includes:
Comments and reviews
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. The comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.
An anonymised string created from your e-mail address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service, to see if you are using their service already and have a global avatar image. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Contact forms
When visitors send us comments and queries via the contact forms, we capture and send that information onto the admin team at Creative Juices Brewing Company. It does not go anywhere else, but you consent to this information being held on our email servers (provided by Google).
Credit cards and other financial information
We don’t gather, store or have access to any of this type of sensitive financial information at all via the website. Instead we use one of the worlds largest payment solutions providers, PayPal. They keep financial details private and secure 24/7, and are trusted by millions of businesses worldwide. In order to process the payment, we will pass your name and address(es) through to PayPal. The PayPal privacy policy is available here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
Deliveries
If you make a purchase on the site, you are consenting to your delivery details being used to get your purchased goods out to you. This means your name, address, and phone number will be put on shipping labels, and consequently visible either to internal Creative Juices Brewing Company staff or to our delivery fulfilment partners (e.g. UPS). In the latter case, the third party shipping company will not use your details for marketing purposes.
Obviously, we will also potentially need to contact you in relation to the fulfilment of your order. These are deemed to be essential service communications rather than marketing communications.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Newsletter subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email will be used to send you your copy of the newsletter. Don’t worry; we won’t spam you. Every now and then we’ll send you some news, but only when we actually have something to say. Each mail will have a clear option to unsubscribe from future marketing communications if you change your mind at any point in the future and you can contact us at any time to achieve this too. We use Mailchimp to fulfil our email newsletter. They are a well-established and respected global marketing solutions provider, trusted by millions of businesses. Their privacy policy can be found here https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/
User accounts
If you register a user account on our website we store the information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What are cookies?
Yummy. We love cookies. Of the biscuity kind that is.
The digital kind are pretty tasty too though. If you’re not sure what they are and what they do, a cookie is basically a little text file which is saved on your computer when you visit a website. What it means is that when you come back to that same website, it will remember you’ve been there before and adjust your experience accordingly. However, cookies can only identify the computer, rather than the individual user. For example, the very first time you visit our site, we ask you your age to make sure you are look at suitable content. The next time you come back, we don’t ask you again because the cookie remembers that you have already visited and answered that question. They have had some bad press, but actually cookies are harmless when used appropriately… which we do.
Of course, we support your right to disable cookies in your browser if you wish to do so, but please note: if you block cookies on the Creative Juices Brewing Company site, it may stop certain features operating correctly.
How do we use cookies?
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
You can remove our cookies (and anyone else’s for that matter) at any time by clearing your browser history and cache.
Embedded content from other websites
Some content on this site, such as videos and images, may be embedded from other third party sites (YouTube, Google, Instagram and Untappd are the reputable companies we use). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. They are all trusted organisations and the chances are, you already use them anyway.
We track visitors numbers, and other website usage data as you move around the site, through Goggle Analytics. Well over half of the websites in existence use Google Analytics to do the same thing. This is purely so we can try to understand how our site is performing and make it better for our future visitors if we spot something that needs improving. No sensitive personal information is involved here.
If you have an account on this site, you can see the vast majority of the information we hold by logging into the “My Account” section of the website. From here you can update your information at any time.
If you wish to update your information beyond this or wish to request that we erase any data we hold about you, you can do so by sending us an update / deletion request via any of the normal communication channels as detailed on the “Say Hello” page of the website. We will then confirm this with you via email / post and action immediately. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Disclosure in compliance with the law
In addition to the circumstances described in this privacy policy, we may disclose your financial and personal information if required to do so by law, by court order, by the government, by the police or other law enforcement authority. We may also disclose your information in the good faith belief that it is necessary or advisable, without limitation, to protect the rights or property of Creative Juices Brewing Company or it’s partner companies, or to identify, contact or bring legal action against any persons who may be causing interference with our rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when any person / any business could be harmed by such activities.
This privacy policy was put in place on the launch of this website in April 2020. If you have any queries or concerns around it, please do get in touch via the normal communication channels as outlined on the “Say Hello” page of the website. We are a small operation and a busy one, but endeavour to reply to contact within one working day.

You have the right to complain with the Information Commissioner’s Office (the ICO); the regulatory body in the UK concerned with the handling of personal data. You can do this online at www.ico.org.uk, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or by writing to them at Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, SK9 5AF.
